Recently, Federal-Mogul Powertrain introduced a new type of high-performance spark plug ceramic material to meet the increasingly stringent high-temperature and high-voltage requirements of high-output gasoline engines. This new spark plug ceramic technology, named SureFirePlus, enables higher ignition voltages, longer spark plug life, and effective integration into the small, multi-valve, compact engine head.
It is understood that SureFirePlus is an innovative technology derived from the SureFire spark plug introduced by Federal-Mogul in 2008. With advanced ceramic materials, SureFirePlus spark plugs can withstand voltages of 42 kilovolts or more, while previous spark plugs could only withstand 36 kilovolts. Higher ignition voltages make it possible to use lean fuel mixtures to help improve engine performance and fuel economy while reducing CO2 emissions. In addition, the improved ceramic performance also reduces the size of the spark plug. Thread sizes are 14 to 12 mm and 10 mm. Customers can choose according to their needs.
