Texas Instruments Introduces First Product in Battery Management Fuel Gauge Circuit Family

Texas Instruments announced TI TI's Impedance Track recently? Capacity measurement patented multi-chemistry, multi-string battery management coulometer circuit series of the first product. TI's latest bq34z110 battery fuel gauge for lead-acid batteries is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of this year, while the latest NiCd and NiMH battery fuel gauges are scheduled for release later this year.
The bq34z100 power management chip is the industry's first fuel gauge to support multiple lithium-ion and lithium-iron phosphate chemical compositions in 2- to 16-cell battery packs, extending medical devices, power tools, electric bicycles, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) The battery operating time of the application. In addition, TI also plans to launch a new fuel gauge that will support lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, and nickel-hydrogen chemistry this year.
Today's string of lithium-ion battery designs in portable industrial and medical equipment require more accurate methods to measure the remaining battery capacity.
