The magnetic dewatering tank can be divided into two types: permanent magnet type dewatering tank and electromagnetic type dewatering tank according to different magnetic sources.
The structure of the permanent magnet type dewatering tank is shown in the figure below. It mainly consists of a tank body, a feeding device, a water supply device and a magnetic system.

The structure of the electromagnetic dehydration tank is shown in the figure below. It mainly consists of a tank, a cross-shaped iron core, a coil on the core sleeve and a hollow cylinder composed of iron.

The magnetic dewatering tank has simple structure, no moving parts, easy to manufacture on site, convenient operation, no power consumption, large processing capacity and good sorting index. Therefore, the magnetic dehydration tank is widely used to select fine-grained magnetite and concentrated magnetite concentrate before filtration. In the stage grinding and stage selection process, the magnetic dewatering tank is used as a roughing equipment after grinding, which can remove a certain amount of tailings, but the coarse-grained gangue is difficult to remove. It is also generally used for deliming before magnetic separation or as a pre-selection device.
