Exxon Mobil to Build Grease Plant in Singapore
ExxonMobil announced at the 2014 China International Bearing and Special Equipment Exhibition that it will build a grease production plant in Jurong, Singapore to meet the growing market demand in the Asia Pacific region, especially China. The grease plant is expected to be completed in 2016. Paul Grives, Global Service and Grease Marketing Manager for ExxonMobil's Oil Products, Lubricants and Specialty Oil Marketing Company, spoke about the construction of the new plant: “Jurong Grease Factory and ExxonMobil will be present in Singapore. The integration of chemical and refining projects will enable lubrication products to better meet the needs of users throughout the Asia Pacific region, especially China.†The plant will further strengthen ExxonMobil’s production network in the Asia-Pacific region, allowing ExxonMobil’s products to cover a wider area. Upon completion, the Jurong grease plant will be responsible for the production of three important Exxon Mobil grease product lines. “In the Asia-Pacific market, especially the Chinese market, the demand for grease is on the rise.
