July potash prices rose again
Since the IFA meeting, the new price of potash has been fully established in the Asian market, namely the standard potassium chloride CIF price of US$ 510 and the large particle potassium chloride CIF price of US$ 525. The North American Potash Sales Coalition has stated that it has reached a 400,000-ton shipment for the first quarter of the third quarter with Asian buyers at the new price level. BPC, ICL and APC have all reached new deals at this price level. Only India and China have yet to accept new potash prices. Chilean SQM also joined the ranks of the price increase and announced that the price of potassium nitrate in the US and European markets will be raised by 50 US dollars and 40 euros respectively from July 1. Some suppliers expect that Malaysia and Indonesia will increase their potassium consumption by 15% in the first half of the year. Among them, the consumption of potassium chloride in Malaysia in the first half of the year was about 1 million tons. India's potash contract has not yet yielded results, and it will be determined after India signs the second half of the contract in India. By then, the Indian government may accept prices similar to those in China. Some suppliers stated that during the IFA meeting, Indian buyers were positive. At present, buyers have returned to India to negotiate with the government. Maybe they will book more potash. BPC informs its Brazilian customers that the price of large-particle potassium chloride in the Brazilian market has been raised by 30 U.S. dollars since July 1. After the price adjustment, the size of the purchaser's CIF will be 550 US dollars and 560 US dollars, the new price is valid in the third quarter. This is the second price increase for the Brazilian market since this year. In addition to rising demand caused by strong agricultural product prices, tight supply of potash fertilizer is also the main reason for the price increase. At present, the demand for potash fertilizer is particularly strong in the Brazilian market, and the new price of potassium chloride has been fully established.
