MJP new waterjet propulsion control system supporting landing craft

According to the Swedish MJP Waterjet Propulsion Company, the first French EDA-R landing craft supporting its new MJP 650 CSUI waterjet has recently been successfully delivered to the French Navy.
The MJP 650 CSUI waterjet is unique in that it has a water jet propeller controlled by a single steering reversing column. Its hydraulic system is arranged on the inboard waterjet, so it can be well protected and waterproofed, and it is easy to maintain. In addition, the new steering and reversing blades have good commutation performance.
According to MJP Waterjet Propulsion, the 650 CSUI waterjet has gained good response and market interest. MJP Waterjet Propulsion Inc. has decided to develop a single-drive waterjet propeller using the same principles of success.
The single-drive waterjet is a steering and reversing blade waterjet that has the same geometry as a dual-drive waterjet. The steering and reversing of the single-drive waterjet is controlled by a shaft similar to a conventional rudder shaft, and the hydraulic system is mounted in the hull with the conventional steering gear. There are no external hydraulic hoses and no ventilation through the louver, hydraulic actuators or seals do not swell or wear. For example, barnacles do not affect the water density of the hull. Steering and reversing columns can be designed, manufactured and expanded to meet specific hull design requirements.
